FG DECLARED MONDAY 12 DEC. PUBLIC HOLIDAY

The Federal Government has declared Monday, December 12th, 2016 as public holiday to mark the Eid-el Maulud celebration.

This was disclosed by the Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.) in a statement signed by the acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido,.

The Minister called on all Muslim faithfuls and Nigerians in general to cooperate and join hands with President Muhammadu Buhari, towards building a strong, united and peaceful nation.

He equally urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace across the nation

A don, Prof. Abel Olayinka, has stressed the need for Nigerians to acquire sound Family Life and Health Education (FLHE) to achieve a fulfilling and rewarding life. Olayinka, who is the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, gave the advice at a National Workshop, organised by the Ibadan Social and Evaluation Research Team (ISERT) in Abuja.
