STEPS TO EFFECTIVE STUDIES

Against all odds, i welcome you once again to www.klassicsentence.com a place were nothing but the right information is been shared, on behalf of klassicsentence crew i bring you peace and wish you success in your exam which will take place few days from now.
For those who read my post titled why people fail Jamb you will agree with me that i made a promise that i am going to do a post special for point 3 on why people fail JAMB, please do not be confused about this particular post its same as point 3 on why people fail JAMB, if you have not read my post titled why people fail JAMB do your self good to read it i believe that it will be of help and serve as an eye opener to you. check it out

**HOW TO PREPARE FOR JAMB
Now lets get to the main points due to time factor, do you believe me when i say that there is a big difference between reading and studying? OK here is the difference, according to dictionary
STUDY: (usually) To revise material already learned in other to make sure one does not forget them usually in preparation for exam
READING: To look at and interpret letters or other written information.

Now you know why i said steps to effective studies and not steps to effective reading.
having known the difference between studies and reading lets now know how to effectively achieve this aim.
1. Time
2.  Methods
3.  State of being
4.  Environment
* Time is a relative term and very precious in our daily life, when i say relative i mean it differs from person to person.
please note i will be talking about time not as related to clock but related to points 3 above( State of being. Now the question is do you study because you see others doing so or you study your spirit and soul hungers for it?
Time at this contest i mean you discovering when actually is suitable for you to study and you understand what you are studying, is it at night, very early in the morning, late morning, afternoon or evening when is it?(discover it) when you do discover it stick to that time.
Now environment, also discover the right place which will be conducive for you to study, i remember my days when i was preparing for JAMB i mostly read in the morning and evening those were and still are my perfect time then i use to go to a primary school far from main town and also far from my house because i enjoy studying in a quite environment then i will always go there and study, so discover your time and environment forget about weather you studied for 10 hrs or 100 hrs or not, when you discover this things just keep studying until your spirit is no longer comfortable with it and your brain isn't picking it any more then you have to stop and take a break, regain your self and if possible continue were you stopped. That is it for time, state of being and environment now lets talk about METHOD.

* METHOD: The Method one applies while studying may differ from person to person, let me outline some that have been effective for many years.
1. Start with that difficult subject or topic when your brain is still fresh, this method has been proven to be effective.
2. before you read flip through the text or any thing you are reading know the main topic, the subtopics, what you are expected to come out with after going through and look at any diagram that you may find in that chapter all this helps you for a better understanding.
3. jot down striking points in a separate notebook, this helps you to take a summary of the whole text two or a week to the exam.
4. Memorize/ Meditate: please check out the meanings of this two word with your dictionary.
5. Set questions for your self after studying, do not answer it that day wait 4 - 5 day then pick it up and try answering them.

OK this are some of the methods to effective studies, you can add yours using the comment box.
I also recommend study partner male or female just keep your line straight.
No procrastination.
Note: you do not study a whole textbook in a day take it step by step don't kill your self.
