JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY EXAMINATIONS BOARD

ADMISSION INTO THE JOINT UNIVERSITIES PRELIMINARY EXAMINATION BOARD(JUPEB) PROGRAMME FOR 2017/2018 ACADEMIC SESSION

APPLICATIONS are here by invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the joint universities preliminary examination board(jupeb) programme for 2017/2018 academic session. The application will run from 25th May to 18th August, 2017.
The programme leads to the award of JUPEB certificate which enables candidates to gain direct entry admission into their respective second year degree programmes in to University of Nigeria, Nsukka and other JUPEB affiliated Universities in Nigeria and abroad

ELIGIBILITY: Eligible candidates must posses a minimum of 5 credits o'level result at a maximum of two sittings, this credits must be relevant to the course the aspirant desires to study in the university, English language must be included.

DURATION: duration of the programme is one academic session of two semester.

Method of application: pay the application fee of #20,000 through Remita payment platform at any bank.
You are to generate payment invoice which will contain a Remita payment number.(please note that bank charge applies and should be paid).
* proceed to student portal atunnportal.unn.edu.ng
* click on the fill JUPEB, Interuniversity form
* click on generate payment invoice under JUPEB
*  provid your phone number and click on submit
* provide your surname, midle name and last name and click on submit
* printe out your invoice and proceed to the bank to make payment
* bank will give you a Remita number that you would input on the students portal
* Go to student portal above click on fill JUPEB
* Fill the Remita number from the bank and click on submit
* Fill the form and input your passport(white background) and must not be more than 100kb.
* Fill other information's and submit after print out your acknowledgment slip.

NOTE: The entrance exam shall take place first week of september 2017.
Applicants must register for the 2018 Direct entry UTME during the programme.

NECO records 70 per cent pass

THE National Examinations Council (NECO) has released the result of its 2017 June/July Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (SSCE) with 745,053 candidates – about 70.85 per cent – making five credits and above in English Language and Mathematics. Announcing the release of the results yesterday in Minna, its Registrar/Chief Executive, Prof. Charles Uwakwe, said 1,051,472 candidates sat for the examination. He said 903,690 candidates made credit and above in English Language, 849,335 got credit and above in General Mathematics), 561,437 in Economics and 599,093 (Biology). Uwakwe added that the result showed 1.11 per cent improvement in candidates’ performance compared with 2016 results. Ekiti State, he said, emerged top in students’ performance with 85 per cent scoring five credits and above, including Mathematics and English.
