China: Jiangsu University Full and Partial Undergraduate and Postgraduate Scholarship for International Students, 2017/2018

In order to further develop the education of international students, Jiangsu University provides scholarship for international students getting registered for English-taught degree education at Jiangsu University.

– Accounting
– Chinese Linguistics and Literature
– Food Science and Engineering
– Mechanical Engineering
– Chemistry
– Computer Science and Engg. (Quota: 5 Students)
– Chemical Engineering (5 Students)
– Pharmacy (5 Students)

Eligibility:
Only applicable to SELF-FUNDED overseas students who take English-taught DEGREE programs ONLY.

The JSU Presidential Scholarship to graduate students will be awarded once a year after annual assessment of the student’s performance.
Transferring of major or quitting JSU by bachelor students who availed JSU Presidential Scholarship in the first year, shall be approved only after the student compensates the scholarship amount back to the university before they receive the transcripts and other official documents.
Presidential scholarship graduate students who apply to quit JSU should compensate the scholarship amount back to the university before they receive the transcripts and other official documents.

Age Requirement: Bachelor: under 25 years; Master Students: under 35 years; Ph.D. Students: under 40 years.

Not compatible to winners of other scholarships

Masters: 20,000 CNY on tuition every year
Bachelors*: 10,000 CNY on tuition in first year

JAMB extends registration by two weeks

The Joint Admissions and MatriculationS Board yesterday announced extension of registration for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) by two weeks. The extension covers April 19 – 5th May. The examination body also announced suspension of the conduct of its mock examination scheduled to hold yesterday in some selected centers across the country indefinitely. JAMB registrar, Prof. Is-haq Oloyede, told reporters in Abuja the postponement of the UTME mock exam was due to failure from its technical partners. He also announced shift in the conduct of UTME scheduled to begin on 6th May. NEWS AS IT IS ON AFRICAN WOMEN CUP OF NATIONS(AWCON) 2016 African Women Cup of Nations (AWCON) winner with Super Falcons, Asisat Oshoala, is among five Nigerians nominated in other categories for honours at the Glo-CAF African Football Awards taking place in Abuja on January 5, 2017. In the list released yesterday 11/12/2016 by Confederation of African Football (CAF), Oshoala was listed alongside South African Janine Van Wyk, Ghanaian Elizabeth Addo and Cameroonians Gabrielle Aboudi Onguene and Raissa Feudjio Tchuanyo for the Women’s Player of the Year.
